Design
Each cake is thoughtfully designed to reflect your celebration. We welcome inspiration images to understand your vision; however, we do not replicate another cake artist’s work. Every design is interpreted in our own style, ensuring a finish that is both refined and unique.

Design sketches created following consultation remain the intellectual property of LolasBakes and are not to be shared with other cake designers.
​
A design sketch is provided once a non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee has been received.
​
Tasting and Consultation
We offer a one-hour consultation by appointment, where you can sample four of our most popular flavours while we explore your design and overall vision together.
​
You are welcome to bring mood boards, invitations, or colour palettes to guide the design. A design sketch is prepared following receipt of your booking fee, with a full design and quote shared within 7 days.
​
Consultations are recommended for wedding clients and are limited to a maximum of four guests.
Fee: £45 (payable at least one week in advance)

We also offer tasting boxes for collection or UK delivery, released periodically via our website and social channels.

Booking & Payment
A non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee is required to secure your date (25% for orders up to [insert value]). This is due within 48 hours of accepting your quote.
​
The remaining balance is due:

7 days before collection/delivery (celebration cakes)

28 days before collection/delivery (wedding cakes)
Orders placed within 28 days require full payment at the time of booking and may be subject to a rush fee if required within 7 days.

Payments are made via bank transfer (details provided on your invoice).
If payment is not received within the stated timeframe, the booking may be released.
​
Changes
We will always do our best to accommodate changes where possible. Requests made at least 7 days before your event can usually be considered, though additional costs may apply depending on the nature of the change.

Cancellations/Postponement
​
For celebration cakes (under £250), a minimum of 28 days’ notice is required.
For wedding cakes, 12 weeks’ notice is required.
​
Where sufficient notice is given, payments made (excluding the booking fee and any costs already incurred) will be refunded.
​
Cancellations within 7 days of collection/delivery are non-refundable. Once work has begun, payments are non-refundable.
​
Postponements may be accommodated with at least 2 weeks’ notice and are subject to availability.
​
The booking fee remains non-refundable in all circumstances.
​
​Delivery/Collection & Set-up
Collection is available from our base (address provided upon booking). For larger or multi-tiered cakes, we recommend delivery to ensure safe handling.
​
Delivery is charged based on distance and availability. A full postcode will be required when booking.
​
Where setup is required, a standard fee of £45 applies. This ensures your cake is positioned and presented as intended. Extended setup times will be discussed where applicable.
​
A venue contact name and number must be provided. The cake table should be prepared and in its final position prior to our arrival.
​
If setup is delayed due to the space not being ready, additional waiting time may be chargeable.
​
Once the cake has been delivered and set up, responsibility passes to the client or venue. We cannot be held responsible for damage caused by movement or environmental conditions.
​
In the unlikely event of delays outside of our control (such as traffic or weather), any compensation is limited to delivery and setup fees.
​
Non-Edibles Elements
Some designs may include non-edible elements such as support dowels, decorative items, or fresh flowers.
​
You will be advised accordingly. It is important that these are removed before serving.
​
Care & Responsibility
We take great care in preparing and presenting your cake. We kindly ask that it is inspected upon collection or delivery so any concerns can be addressed immediately.
​
Once the cake has been collected or delivered, responsibility transfers to the client.
​
If any adjustments to your design are required due to unforeseen circumstances, we will communicate this with care and offer suitable alternatives.
​
Media
We may photograph our work for portfolio and marketing purposes. Any personal or identifiable details will be excluded unless prior consent is given.
​
Complaints
In the unlikely event of a concern regarding quality, we ask that at least ¾ of the cake is returned within 24 hours so we can fairly assess the matter.
​
Concerns raised after 7 days of collection/delivery may not be considered.
​
Refunds, where applicable, are offered at the discretion of LolasBakes. Variations in artistic interpretation or colour may occur and are not considered faults unless a physical reference was provided and not followed.
​
We are only able to correspond with the original client.
Collection Guidance
Cakes are delicate and require careful handling. Once collected, responsibility transfers to the client.

We recommend:

Transporting the cake on a flat, level surface (boot space is ideal)

Keeping the vehicle cool and avoiding direct sunlight

Driving carefully, avoiding sudden movement

Minimising time in transit
Cakes should be stored in a cool environment until required.
Agreement
By paying your booking fee, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
